Baseline is a precise measuring instrument Designed for the Designed for measurement of pain thresholds and pressure pain. The instrument is used by physical therapists, physicians, occupational therapists, and researchers who work with pain assessment, functional evaluation, and monitoring of treatment progress.
The dolorimeter measures the pain threshold by applying controlled pressure to the skin using a standardized probe with a flat contact area (1.52 cm²). The measurement ends when the patient indicates that the pain threshold has been reached, yielding accurate and reproducible results.
