How Biofrost Active works
Biofrost Active affects the body's temperature and pain receptors in two phases:
- First, the skin is cooled (activation of TRPM8)
- This is followed by a warming sensation (activation of TRPV)
TRPM8 is the body’s cold-sensitive receptor (the menthol receptor), which helps to dampen pain signals when the skin is cooled. After a few minutes, TRPV receptors are activated, producing a warming sensation that can help increase comfort and reduce muscle tension.
